Arrest and Recovery in Bistupur Theft Case, DSP Highlights Swift Police Action

Jamshedpur police have solved a theft case at Signature Apartment in the CH area, leading to the arrest of Raju Sahu and the recovery of stolen electronics valued at Rs 3 lakh.

JAMSHEDPUR – In a significant breakthrough, the Jamshedpur police apprehended Raju Sahu alias Jhagru, the main accused in a theft case at Saurabh Chawla’s residence in Signature Apartment, CH area, under Bistupur police station’s jurisdiction.

The arrest followed a detailed investigation, with police recovering two mobile phones and a tablet based on the information provided by Jhagru, with the stolen items valued at Rs 3 lakh.

DSP CCR Anjani Tiwari shared that the theft occurred on Thursday, with the police swiftly moving to file a complaint and utilizing CCTV footage to identify and arrest the culprit.

The DSP revealed that the theft involved three individuals, including Raju, who entered Chawla’s home through a window before fleeing with the valuables. Efforts to sell the stolen mobile phones led to Raju’s capture, with police now conducting raids to apprehend the remaining suspects.

This case underscores the efficiency of the local police in utilizing technological aids and quick action to resolve criminal activities, ensuring the safety and security of Jamshedpur residents.
