Excise raids in Parsudih, Ghaghidih and Bagbera ahead of Ram Navami; 90 liters of hooch seized

Jamshedpur: In the wake of the upcoming Ram Navami festival, Assistant Commissioner of Excise Department, East Singhbhum, has ordered raids to crack down on illegal liquor sales in the district.

The operations targeted several areas like Ghaghidih under Parsudih police station, as well as Tatanagar station area, Naya Basti, Pradhan Tola, and Gadabasa, all under the jurisdiction of Parsudih police.

The raids led to the filing of absconding charges against three illegal liquor sellers who managed to flee from the authorities during the operation.

Approximately 90 liters of Mahua liquor were seized during the raids.

The police continue to search for the absconding suspects and are intensifying their efforts to curb the illegal sale of alcohol in the region.

The Assistant Commissioner of Excise, East Singhbhum, has expressed his commitment to ensuring public safety and order during the Ram Navami festival.

These raids are a part of a larger initiative to enforce regulations and maintain law and order during the celebrations.
