Raghubar Das and Amarpreet Singh Kale join in Sarhul Celebrations at Sitaramdera

Jamshedpur: Like every year, this year too Sarhul festival was celebrated with traditional joy and festivity in Jamshedpur. Sarhul was celebrated with all the rituals and with music and dance at Jaher Than at Uraon Basti in Sitaramdera of Jamshedpur.

The tribal community is now celebrating the Sarhul festival, one of the most important festivals of Jharkhand centered on protecting nature.

This celebration is being celebrated with tremendous fervor by the tribal community. The tribal community is enthusiastically enjoying the Sarhul festival in Jamshedpur. In the Jaher police station in the Oraon township, which is situated in Sitaramdera, the holiday is observed with all of the typical ceremonies and traditions.

The former chief minister of the state and national vice president of the BJP, Raghubar Das, attended the event and conveyed his congratulations to the local community on this unique celebration of nature.

He underlined that nature is the reason why humans exist and that by celebrating this festival, the indigenous tribes are letting people know that protecting nature is important for keeping the world safe.

He vowed to protect the environment and sent his best wishes for Sarhul to all tribal groups. The tribal community eagerly engaged in the ceremonies. The pujari at Jaherthan performed the rituals to honour Sarhul using sal tree, flowers, and leaves during the festival.

May Sarhul bring happiness and prosperity in everyone’s life: Kale

Amarpreet Singh Kale, the former Jharkhand BJP spokesman, also participated in the Sarhul procession today.

At the Sitaramdera Oraon Basti Sarna Sthal prayers were offered before the procession. Several communities, including Oraon Samaj, Ho Samaj, Munda Samaj, and others, planned the event, which attracted fervent involvement from members of all community groups.

With hundreds of participants, the Sarhul Yatra started from the Basti and traversed the entire city.

In Jamshedpur’s main thoroughfares, a parade with Sarhul has become a yearly custom.

Families joined in on the celebrations, singing, dancing, and cheering.

On this occasion, Mr. Kale said that nature provides happiness and prosperity in everyone’s life.

Tribal groups in India’s Jharkhand, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and West Bengal all celebrate the festival of Sarhul.

The celebration is often done in the spring months of March or April.

The Sal tree, which is revered by the tribal groups, is one of the trees that are worshiped during the festival of Sarhul.

The celebration ushers in the growing season and provides an opportunity to ask the gods for their blessings on a bountiful crop.

They worship the deities and make offerings to them while also decorating the Sal tree with flowers, leaves, and fruits throughout the celebration.

They often host feasts for their family and friends and perform traditional dance and music.
