Suspect demanded money from businessmen using jailed criminal’s name

JAMSHEDPUR – Kadma police arrested an extortionist who targeted local businessmen by using the name of a jailed criminal.

SSP Kishore Kaushal detailed the arrest of Bunty Guha from Parsudi Gol Pahari. Moreover, police recovered a country-made pistol from him.

The accused was caught near a riverside in Ram Janm Nagar. Furthermore, two live cartridges and a mobile phone were seized.

Criminal History

Guha faces multiple criminal cases across different police stations. Additionally, he specifically targeted business owners for extortion.

Meanwhile, police formed a special team following a tip-off. “We received intelligence about his hideout,” the SSP stated.

Police Operation

The Kadma police station officer led the operation team. Moreover, they conducted a raid based on confidential information.

The arrest followed careful surveillance of the area. Additionally, police are investigating possible connections with other criminals.

Local businessmen had reported recent extortion attempts. However, prompt police action led to the suspect’s arrest.
