15 shops on Railway land demolished near Tatanagar Loco Rail Crossing
Aggrieved shopkeepers to go for legal action against land-seller
Jamshedpur: Around 15 illegally built shops on railway land near Khas Mahal Loco Crossing under Parsudih police station of Jamshedpur were demolished by SSC Land and SSC Housing of Indian Railways by running a special drive on Saturday.
A large number of RPF police personnel were deployed there to ensure that no land and order issue arose.
According to railway officials, the site where 15 shops were built was allotted on lease by the Railways to a person named Chhedilal in 1986.
After the death of Chhedilal, his son allegedly occupied the ite and also stopped paying the lease rent to the Railways.
According to Railway and RPF officials, in the meantime, many shops were also sold by Chanchal in a fake manner for lakhs of rupees and a case was filed against the Railways.
After he lost the case, the Railways on Saturday demolished about 15 shops on the directions of the court.

Giving details, RPF officer SC Nayak said that 15 such shops have been demolished on the orders of the court, which are illegally settled on railway land.
He said that the matter of alleged sale of a few shops has also come to the fore and departmental action will be taken on it.
According to Mr. Nayak, a case of sale of shops for lakhs of rupees by showing allotment paper of railway land has also come to the fore.
The aggrieved shopkeepers said that the shop has been sold to them for about 4 to 5 lakhs by showing the allotment paper of the land in a fake manner. They said that they will take legal action against the person who sold them the shops.
