Sakchi roads cleared of auto-rickshaws as anti-encroachment drives continue in JNAC and Mango areas

On Tuesday, a bulldozer was also pressed into service to lift and tow the vehicles parked randomly on the roadsides.

Jamshedpur: Anti-encroachment drive continued in the city on Tuesday too as the district administration stuck to its plan to make the busy roads completely encroachment free in the different parts of the city. On Tuesday, the anti-encroachment drive was carried out in Mango too, while auto-rickshaws were removed from illegal parking stands.

JNAC officials carried out a drive in its areas against haphazard parking of auto-rickshaws and illegal auto parking stands.

The administration is working on a plan to make the city roads jam-free and anti-encroachment drives are a part of the plan.

The Special Officer Krishna Kumar himself took to the streets to make the Sakchi roads free of traffic jams.

All the civic bodies in the city are working hard to remove illegal encroachments.

On Tuesday, a bulldozer was also pressed into service to lift and tow the vehicles parked randomly on the roadsides in Mango.

During this drive, the Special Officer Krishna Kumar asked drivers to pick up passengers from the stand rather than from the roadside.

Furthermore, he added, if auto-drivers are found picking up passengers from areas not earmarked as auto-stand, then action will be taken. At the same time, the drivers also promised to give the administration full assistance.

Despite the effort of the police to keep the city streets clear, traffic has seen deterioration in recent times.

Business too has had a negative impact due to encroachment on the road.

In order to reduce congestion on the streets, the administration has been carrying out a large-scale anti-encroachment drive.

In order to make it easier for traffic to flow, the police had carried out an anti-encroachment drive in Sakchi recently, which was led by the DC Vijaya Jadhav herself.

On Tuesday, the Mango Notified Area Committee (MNAC) carried out a similar drive in mango.

The policemen removed all makeshift stalls and confiscated the wares on the street.
