Strict Anti-Encroachment Drive by JNAC in Jamshedpur’s Major Markets, Dozens of Illegal Stalls Removed
JNAC takes tough stance against illegal encroachments in Jamshedpur’s prime market areas
In a resolute move to curb the menace of illegal encroachments, the Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) has launched a vigorous drive targeting unauthorized stalls and vendors in the city’s major markets.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) has intensified its efforts to tackle the long-standing issue of encroachment in the city’s key market areas.
On Friday, the police administration took to the streets, urging people to voluntarily remove any illegal encroachments.
However, on Saturday, the JNAC adopted a more assertive approach and commenced strict action against the violators.
During a targeted campaign in the Sakchi area on Saturday, the JNAC authorities removed numerous illegally encroached stalls and street vendors.
The affected shopkeepers, rendered unemployed by the drive, appealed to the district administration to provide alternative arrangements.
Many of these shopkeepers claimed to have been earning their livelihoods from these establishments for the past 15 to 20 years.
The sudden removal of their stalls without prior notice left them grappling with the prospect of unemployment, as evident from the concern writ large on their faces.
Despite the hardships faced by the shopkeepers, no resistance was reported during the anti-encroachment operation.
The JNAC’s resolute stance against illegal encroachments underscores its commitment to maintaining order and fairness in the city’s prime commercial areas.
