Mahagathbandhan parties held a one-day dharna against the farm laws and made it clear that their protests would continue until the farm laws are withdrawn.

Jamshedpur: Mahagathbandhan parties today held a one-day dharna at all the district headquarters of the state against the new farm laws enacted by the union government. The MGB parties also opposed the farm laws and shouted slogans against them.

In protest against the new agricultural law brought by the central government,

Congress, JMM, RJD and Left parties together organised this dharna in 24 districts across the state. A Dharna was also held in front of Jamshedpur district headquarters, during which the leaders of all parties opposed the farm laws in one voice.

Congress party’s district president Vijay Khan said that through the new far laws brought by the central government, the farmers are trying to snatch the land and give it to the capitalists. He said that the union government is trying to push the farmers to hell, but the opposition will never allow it.

On the other hand, the Mahagathbandhan workers, led by Congress Party’s Block President Ajay Mandal, reached the Block Development Office to demand the repeal of the three farm laws brought about by the Central Government in the country.

On Wednesday, MGB supporters met the Block Development Officer located at Karandih and submitted a memorandum to the President through him.

Workers of Congress, JMM, RJD were present in the delegation.

The leaders of the Mahagathbandhan strongly opposed the farm laws.

Congress party’s block president Ajay Mandal said that everyone is agitating against the agriculture bill brought by the central government against the farmers in the country.

He said that the protests will continue until the three black laws are withdrawn.
