Man dies after falling from 10-storeyed Vijaya Garden Birsanagar Building

A man died after falling down from the 10th storey of Vijaya Garden building in Birsanagar. The deceased has been identified and the police are suspecting suicide.

Jamshedpur: A person died after falling from the 10th floor of Vijaya Garden Building under Birsanagar police station of Jamshedpur.

The incident occurred in Block number 74 of the 7th phase of Vijaya Garden, Birsanagar.

On Saturday morning, the locals informed the police that a person was lying below the building and was drenched in blood.

As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police station in-charge reached the spot along with a team.

The local residents were interrogated by the police.

During the investigation, the police also examined the CCTV footage. The deceased was seen going to the 9th floor at 5:19 am in the morning.

Now the police are investigating as to how he fell down from the building.

The deceased has been identified as Abhijeet M. The incident took place in Kedarnath Flat, block number 74, located in the 7 phase of Vijaya Garden.

According to Abhishek M, the younger brother of the deceased, who lives in the same flat, his elder brother did not live with him.

He said that his elder brother was married in 2004 to Neelakshi M.

They also havr a 12-year-old daughter.

Due to family discord, both husband and wife were estranged and had started living separately from each other in February 2021.

Wife Nilakshi is a Tata Motors employee. She lives in Telco K Type 118.

The younger brother said that no member of his family was aware about where his elder brother Abhijit M lived.

He told the police that that he had come to attend the Shradh rituals after his mother’s death 2 months ago.

Since then there has been no phone conversation or meeting between them.

He said that on Saturday morning, it was learned from the security personnel that his brother was lying dead below the building.

Birsanagar police was informed about this.

Birsanagar police station in-charge Tarun Kumar said that prima facie it seems to be a case of suicide. However, he said, police are probing the incident on the basis of CCTV cameras.

For now, the body has been sent for post-mortem and investigation continues.
