Excise Deptt raids illicit liquor factory in Loadih village in Potka

Jamshedpur: The Excise Department of Jamshedpur has achieved another big success on Wednesday. The department, acting on a tip off, raided Loadih village under the jurisdiction of Potka police station and destroyed an illicit liquor factory and seized around 230 litres of illicit liquor.

The raiding team also destroyed about 250 quintals of Mahua, which is used as raw material for producing alcohol.

The miscreants engaged in production of illicit liquor managed to flee from the site, the raiding team said.

An officer of the Excise department, Sandeep Kumar Nag, said that that the department would continue its raid drive against illicit liquor.
