Corona claims 1 more life in city on Thursday, total deaths 368

Recovery rate 96% now, mortality remains 2.2%, positivity down to 4.8%

Jamshedpur: Coronavirus has claimed 1 more life on Thursday, taking the total death toll due to the pandemic in Jamshedpur to 368 now. There was no death reported on Wednesday. However, on Thursday it again claimed one life.

According to official data, on Thursday 33 fresh coronavirus infections cases were also detected taking the total number of infections in the district to 16,506.

On the other hand, 51 patients have also been cured and discharged in the district on Thursday. With this, the total number of recoveries in the district has reached 15,831 now.

As per official data, 3,41,999 samples have been tested in East Singhbhum district. Out of these, 16,506 samples have tested positive, w3hile 3,25,493 samples have tested negative.

Recovery rate for East Singhbhum district has now inched up to 96%, while the mortality still remains at 2.2%.

Positivity rate is coming down slowly too and now it has slided down from 4.9% to 4.8%.
