Tight security arrangements as Dist Admn appeals for peace and harmony during festival celebration
Jamshedpur: With moon having been sighted in New Delhi and other parts of the country Monday evening, Eid is to be celebrated in India on Tuesday, May 3. Keeping in mind celebration of a major festival, the district administration has made tight security arrangements in the city.
In view of the festival of Eid in Jamshedpur, the police along with RAF conducted a flag march in Mango and Sakchi areas to give the citizenry a sense of security.
The district police force was accompanied by a company of RAF in conducting the flag march at both Sakchi and Mango.
Police and RAF personnel were seen patrolling different areas on foot.
The district administration has made an appeal to the citizens to maintain brotherhood and harmony during Eid celebrations.
The Assistant Commandant of RAF, Anoop Singh, said that along with the police force, RAF personnel will also be deployed keeping in mind the celebration of Eid on Tuesday.
A company of RAF has been deployed and a total of 120 jawans participated in the flag march.
RAF jawans will also help the police maintain law and order in different parts of the city during Eid celebrations.
