Mother Dies on the Spot, Daughter Injured in Chowka Police Station Area Road Mishap

In a tragic road accident in Seraikela Kharsawan district’s Chowka police station area, a woman riding a bike with her family lost her life, while her daughter sustained serious injuries and is undergoing treatment at a private hospital.

SERAIKELA – Tragedy struck a family from Patpur, Ichagarh when Gurcharan Singh Manda, along with his wife Asha Lata Singh Munda, their daughter Joba Singh Munda, and a six-month-old baby girl, met with a fatal road accident.

The incident occurred as Gurcharan Singh was crossing the road to refuel his bike, on the way to drop his daughter Joba, a first-semester Hindi Honors student, at Singhbhum College Chandil for her examination.

An unidentified vehicle collided with their bike, resulting in the immediate death of Asha Lata Singh Munda at the accident site.

Joba Singh Munda, who suffered grave injuries in the crash, was rushed to a private hospital for urgent medical attention.

Fortunately, Gurcharan Singh and the six-month-old infant escaped the accident unharmed.

Local police were alerted about the tragic incident and promptly responded by sending the deceased woman’s body for post-mortem examination while ensuring the injured daughter received necessary treatment.

The untimely demise of Asha Lata Singh Munda has left the family and the local community in a state of shock and mourning.

Authorities have launched an investigation to identify the unknown vehicle involved in the accident and determine the cause of the collision.
