Man Shot Dead in Rohtas Over Old Rivalry

Police Detain Five Suspects as Probe Intensifies

Key Points:

  • Man killed by gunfire near his residence in Rohtas
  • Old murder rivalry suspected behind the attack
  • Five detained as police begin detailed investigation

JAMSHEDPUR – A man was shot dead in Rohtas district, with police suspecting an old rivalry linked to an earlier killing case.

The incident occurred in Niranjanpur village under Darigaon police limits. The victim was identified as Deepu Sah.

Meanwhile, the shooting took place near his residence late in the day. The sudden attack caused panic across the locality.

However, police linked the case to a past Murder incident. Two years ago, Saroj Paswan was killed in the same area.

Moreover, Deepu Sah had been named as an accused in that case. He was recently released on bail after spending time in jail.

On the other hand, officials suspect revenge as the motive behind the killing. Investigators believe old enmity triggered the crime.

Meanwhile, the victim was a resident of Barki Karpoorwa village. He was the son of Ganga Sah.

However, police said the attack happened close to his house. The assailants fled immediately after firing.

Moreover, Rohtas Superintendent of Police Roshan Kumar reached the scene. He began a detailed inspection of the area.

On the other hand, police detained five individuals for questioning. Authorities said suspects have been identified.

Moreover, officials stated arrests will be made soon. The investigation is ongoing at multiple levels.

Meanwhile, the body was sent for postmortem to Sasaram Sadar Hospital. The process took place late at night.

However, heavy police deployment has been made in the area. Tension continues to prevail among residents.
