JAMSHEDPUR – The Central Board of Secondary Education is expected to announce Class 12 results for the 2026 academic session around April 30, 2026, or in the first week of May, following examinations that concluded on April 10. Scores of students from Jamshedpur too are awaiting the results with bated breath.

The board conducted the Class 12 examinations from February 17 to April 10, 2026. Students will need three credentials to access their results online — their Roll Number, School Number, and Admit Card ID.

The official websites where results will be hosted are cbse.gov.in and cbseresults.nic.in. However, students will also be able to access their digital marksheets through the DigiLocker app by signing in with their Aadhaar-linked mobile number.

In addition, the UMANG app will provide an alternative route to check scores. Moreover, CBSE is expected to offer an SMS service through which students can receive their results directly on their mobile phones.

To check results on the official website, students are required to visit cbse.gov.in or cbseresults.nic.in and click on the “Class 12 Result 2026” link. They will then need to enter their Roll Number, School Number, and Date of Birth. On the other hand, students using DigiLocker or UMANG will need to log into the respective apps to download their marksheets.

The passing criteria set by the board requires a minimum of 33 per cent marks in both the theory and practical components separately. A student failing to meet this threshold in either component will not be considered to have passed.

The following table summarises the key details of the CBSE Class 12 Result 2026:

Detail Information

Exam Period February 17 to April 10, 2026
Result Mode Online (Official Websites and Apps)

Students are advised to keep their admit cards readily accessible before the results are announced, as the Admit Card ID is one of the mandatory credentials for logging in. Meanwhile, those who have linked their Aadhaar to their mobile numbers will find the DigiLocker route particularly convenient for accessing and storing their digital marksheets.

The CBSE Class 12 examination is one of the most significant board examinations in India. Results from this examination are used for admissions to undergraduate programmes across universities and colleges throughout the country.

For students who may not pass in one or more subjects, the board typically conducts compartment examinations, which give an opportunity to clear the remaining subjects. Details of compartment exams are announced after the main results are declared.

Students are encouraged to check results only through official CBSE channels to avoid misinformation from unofficial or fraudulent websites that tend to circulate fake result links during result season.
