JAMSHEDPUR – A Supreme Court advocate died after a speeding car hit him on Dimna Road and the driver fled the scene.

A fatal accident occurred on Thursday morning in Jamshedpur. However, the crash took place near Mount View School around 7 am.

According to witnesses, the vehicle was moving at high speed. Moreover, the driver lost control and hit a man standing roadside.

The impact was extremely severe, locals said. Meanwhile, the victim was dragged nearly 50 feet.

After the crash, the driver tried to escape quickly. However, residents caught him and beat him briefly.

In contrast, the chaos allowed the driver to flee. Police later confirmed he escaped during the commotion.

Soon after, police reached the spot and began action. Moreover, the injured man was rushed to MGM Hospital.

Doctors examined him immediately at the hospital. However, they declared him dead upon arrival.

The deceased was identified as Shashi Bhushan, aged 38. Meanwhile, he lived in Subhash Colony on Dimna Road.

Family members shared recent details about his movement. Moreover, he had returned from Delhi earlier that morning.

He had briefly stepped out, promising to return soon. However, the accident occurred within minutes.

Police have seized the damaged vehicle from the site. Meanwhile, raids are ongoing to arrest the absconding driver.
