JAMSHEDPUR – A 13-year-old boy attempted suicide in Aurangabad after a dispute over repairing a mobile phone.
The incident occurred in Ararua Kala village under Hariharganj police station limits. The boy climbed a tree behind his house and hanged himself.
Meanwhile, his grandmother and aunt noticed the situation and raised alarm. They rushed to the spot and tried to save him immediately.
However, family members quickly brought him down from the tree. They then took him to the Hariharganj health center for treatment.
Meanwhile, doctors referred him to Sadar Hospital due to his worsening condition. Medical staff began treatment in the child ward.
Moreover, attending doctor Dinesh Dubey treated the boy at the hospital. However, his condition remained critical despite efforts.
In contrast, doctors later referred him to Magadh Medical College for advanced care. The family acted quickly following medical advice.
Meanwhile, the boy’s elder sister explained the circumstances leading to the incident. She said he insisted on repairing a damaged mobile phone.
Moreover, his father works in a private company in Odisha. Only women members and relatives were present at home during the incident.
On the other hand, the family tried to calm the boy by connecting him to his father over the phone. However, the situation escalated shortly after.
Authorities have not reported further developments regarding his condition. The case highlights rising concerns over emotional distress among children.
