BOKARO – Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth addressed media in Bokaro, defending the Union Budget against allegations of Jharkhand neglect.

The minister arrived in Bokaro during an official visit on Thursday. He spoke to journalists regarding the Union Budget recently presented by the central government.

However, he rejected claims raised by the state government and opposition leaders. He said the Union Budget is prepared for the entire country. He added that it ensures equal benefits without regional discrimination.

Meanwhile, Seth listed several sectors expected to gain. These included tourism, skill development, and MSME growth initiatives. He said construction of girls’ hostels and working women hostels will also help Jharkhand.

Moreover, he stated that Jharkhand received a significant health sector allocation. He described the allocation as restoring pride in the state’s healthcare system.

On the other hand, he criticized statements by the state health minister. The remarks concerned demands for an AIIMS facility. He questioned comments suggesting an alternative hospital allocation.

In contrast, Seth said such statements lacked clarity. He added that health infrastructure development remains a central priority.

Sanjay Seth currently serves as Union Minister of State for Defence. He recently assumed office after the formation of the new cabinet.

Further political statements by Seth were previously reported during visits to Jharkhand. These included remarks during a Jamshedpur visit. He has also commented on electoral prospects and party strategy.

Meanwhile, Seth has remained in news over security matters. This followed reports that he received an extortion demand. Authorities later confirmed an investigation.
