Notorious Criminal Arrested with Loaded Pistol in Seraikela

Police Seize American-Made Weapon and Live Ammunition from Accused

SERAIKELA – Seraikela police arrested notorious criminal Mo. Irshad with an illegal loaded pistol and ammunition in Kapali area.

Seraikela police made a significant arrest on Saturday. Mo. Irshad was caught with illegal weapons. The operation took place in Kapali OP area.

Superintendent of Police Mukesh Kumar Lunayat announced the arrest. He held a press conference to share details.

Kapali OP received confidential information about the accused. Irshad was reportedly consuming intoxicants near Almanar School. The location was in Kenddih area.

Moreover, he was allegedly planning a major crime. Police sources indicated he carried illegal firearms. The tip-off prompted immediate action.

SDPO Chandil directed formation of special team. Kapali OP in-charge led the operation. The team conducted raids in multiple locations.

Meanwhile, officers searched Kenddih and Dangodih areas. They also covered Kapali region thoroughly. The accused was apprehended during these operations.

Police recovered a silver-colored pistol from Irshad. The weapon bore “Made in USA NO.11” marking. It was a 7.65mm caliber firearm.

In addition, three live cartridges were seized. The pistol was in loaded condition. Authorities immediately secured the evidence.

However, this was not Irshad’s first encounter with law. He has a long criminal history. Four cases are registered against him.

The cases span across three police stations. These include Chandil, Adityapur, and Azadnagar areas. Charges range from murder to extortion.

Furthermore, illegal weapons possession cases exist against him. Arms Act violations are also on record. The accused faces serious criminal charges.

Police filed fresh Arms Act case against Irshad. He was sent to judicial custody. The seized weapon has been confiscated.

SP Lunayat credited multiple teams for the arrest. Kapali OP team played crucial role. Tiger Mobile unit also contributed significantly.

On the other hand, technical branch provided vital support. Coordination among units ensured success. The operation was executed swiftly.

Lunayat emphasized continuation of anti-crime operations. Illegal weapons crackdown will persist across district. Law and order violations won’t be tolerated.
