JAMSHEDPUR – Persistent train delays at Tatanagar station have triggered political protest plans and commuter outrage.

Passenger trains are arriving hours late at Tatanagar station, disrupting daily travel schedules. Meanwhile, commuters from nearby regions are facing severe inconvenience.

Trains from Chaibasa and Chandil now take several extra hours. However, these routes earlier required only thirty minutes of travel.

Daily passengers reported consistent delays ranging from four to five hours. Moreover, the situation has affected thousands of commuters every day.

Jamshedpur MLA Saryu Roy has criticised railway authorities over the issue. Meanwhile, he alleged that freight trains are being given operational priority.

He stated that passenger trains are being halted for long durations. In contrast, freight movement continues without interruption.

Roy warned of intensified protests if delays continue. Moreover, he announced a signature campaign at the station.

Supporters will join him across all platforms at the station. Meanwhile, passengers will be asked to share their delay experiences.

Railway officials had earlier assured improvements in train timings. However, delays from trains arriving from other states still persist.

The Janata Dal (United) has also issued a warning of agitation. Meanwhile, political pressure over the issue is increasing in Jamshedpur.

Passengers continue to demand immediate corrective measures. Moreover, the situation remains unresolved despite repeated complaints.
