Minor Student Alleges Months of Harassment at School

JAMSHEDPUR – A school principal in Giridih was jailed after a minor accused him of prolonged molestation.

The incident occurred in Pachamba police station area of Giridih district. A 14-year-old student accused the school principal of misconduct.

According to the complaint, the accused harassed the girl for six months. Moreover, he allegedly attempted further misconduct on May 24.

The student returned home and refused to attend school. Meanwhile, her family questioned her about the sudden change.

She then revealed the entire incident to her mother. Consequently, the family approached local residents for support.

Later, a formal complaint was filed at Pachamba police station. Moreover, residents of Ward No. 6 supported the victim’s family.

Local councillor Sanjeev Kumar raised serious concerns. He stated that similar behavior may have occurred with other students.

However, police immediately initiated an investigation into the allegations. Meanwhile, the accused principal was taken into custody.

Authorities confirmed that he has been sent to judicial custody. Moreover, further inquiry is ongoing to verify additional claims.

Such cases highlight concerns over student safety in schools. In contrast, institutions are expected to ensure strict protection measures.
