JAMSHEDPUR – A woman suspected of attempting to abduct a child was caught by residents in Parsudih area before police rescued her from an angry crowd.

The incident occurred in Garhiwanpatti locality of Kitadih. The area falls under Parsudih police station limits.

Meanwhile, panic spread in the locality after residents detained the woman. Locals accused her of trying to take away a three-year-old girl.

Moreover, the girl’s mother, Jaitun Bibi, said she had gone to buy groceries. Her children were playing outside near their home.

During that time, the woman reportedly approached the child. She allegedly tried to pull the girl away.

Meanwhile, the victim’s younger brother raised an alarm. His cries alerted family members and neighbors.

Moreover, relatives rushed toward the spot immediately. Seeing them approach, the accused woman attempted to flee.

However, residents chased and caught her. An angry crowd then tied her to a bamboo pole using a rope.

Meanwhile, family members claimed the woman had been moving suspiciously in the area. They said she had been seen around the locality for four days.

The police rescued the woman from the crowd. She was then taken into custody for questioning.
