Sitaramdera Police Arrest Five in Series of Theft Cases

Accused Held for House and Shop Thefts; Stolen Goods Recovered

JAMSHEDPUR – Sitaramdera police arrested five accused involved in repeated theft incidents across the area.

The arrests were made following investigations into multiple theft cases. The incidents occurred in different localities under the Sitaramdera police station limits. The accused allegedly targeted houses and shops.

According to police, five individuals were taken into custody. They were identified as Gurjar Machhua. Gaurav Mushya, also known as Chaudhary Machhua, was arrested. Chhotu Machhua was among the accused. Sonu Machhua was also detained. Ganesh Machhua was the fifth accused.

All accused were residents of the Sitaramdera police station area. Police said they were directly linked to the reported theft cases. The arrests followed sustained police surveillance and verification.

Moreover, police stated that all five had previous criminal histories. They were earlier jailed in theft cases. They were also involved in robbery cases. Other criminal matters were recorded against them.

During searches, police recovered stolen items from the accused. The seized items included a sewing machine. Iron rods were recovered. Other iron tools were seized. A gas cylinder was found. A jack and additional tools were also recovered.

Police said the estimated value of recovered items ran into thousands of rupees. The seized materials were suspected to be linked to several theft cases. Verification of recovered goods was ongoing.

Meanwhile, police initiated the process to send the accused to judicial custody. Further investigation into related theft incidents continued. Additional recoveries were also being examined.

The case details were confirmed by DSP Bhola Prasad. He serves as DSP Headquarters-1. Police said further action would follow investigation progress.

Earlier incidents in the area included a theft case cracked by police. Another case involved mob violence over theft suspicion. Previous operations saw multiple theft arrests. Police also handled cases where accused escaped custody. City police recently busted a vehicle theft gang elsewhere.
