JAMSHEDPUR – Panini Utsav Committee will organize a one-day festival on December 14. The event honors Maharshi Panini, founder of Sanskrit grammar. Saryu Roy, MLA from Jamshedpur West, will inaugurate the program.
The festival will occur at Kalidas Auditorium in PM Shri Utkramit People’s Academy. The +2 school is located in New Baradwari. Roy will serve as chief guest for the occasion.
Four distinguished scholars will attend the cultural gathering. Dr. Mitreshwar Agnimitra, a renowned linguist, will participate. Grammarian Balmukund Chaudhary will also be present at the event.
Dr. Shashibhushan Mishra will share his grammatical expertise. Dr. Kaustubh Sanyal specializes in grammar and computer science. However, all four experts will discuss Panini’s lasting contributions.
Committee Secretary Chandradip Pandey announced the event details. Dr. Ragini Bhushan and Rajdev Sinha joined the press conference. The announcement took place at Kalidas Auditorium on Friday.
Pandey explained Panini’s significance to Indian linguistic heritage. The ancient scholar created the Ashtadhyayi, an influential text. It contains approximately 4,000 sutras governing Sanskrit grammar.
This work scientifically organized language structure and principles. Moreover, it describes social and cultural life comprehensively. The text remains foundational for classical Sanskrit studies globally.

The program begins at 11 AM on December 14. Sessions will continue until 2 PM that afternoon. However, the entire festival will occur in one session.
