MEDININAGAR – Local residents discovered a newborn baby’s body in a garbage heap in Mali Mohalla area of the district headquarters on Saturday morning.

Police arrived at the scene around 10 AM after receiving information. Municipal corporation cleaning staff assisted in recovering the body.

“The infant was stillborn due to lung failure,” said Dr. Gaurav Vishal, pediatric specialist. “Death occurred before delivery.”

Investigation Process

The city police took custody of the body immediately after discovery. Moreover, they arranged for a post-mortem examination at the local facility.

Meanwhile, medical experts conducted a thorough examination of the remains. Furthermore, the investigation revealed the infant had died in the womb.

Final Proceedings

The city police organized the final rites after completing medical procedures. Additionally, they initiated efforts to trace the origins of the abandoned body.

On the other hand, local residents expressed deep concern over the incident. Besides, authorities are investigating circumstances surrounding the case.
