JAMSHEDPUR – Local legislator Saryu Roy has raised serious concerns about the recent inauguration of a new medical facility, calling it a mere pre-election tactic.

The Jamshedpur East MLA criticized the opening of the new OPD building at MGM College Hospital.

Roy labeled the inauguration an "election gimmick" in a strong statement.

He pointed out several infrastructure deficiencies at the facility.

The MLA highlighted inadequate water supply as a major issue.

Additionally, Roy mentioned the dilapidated state of the student hostel.

He expressed particular concern for the safety of female students at the hospital.

The absence of a playground for students was another point of contention.

Roy questioned the allocation of ₹34,000 crore for health services over five years.

He demanded a special audit to investigate the expenditure of this substantial sum.

The MLA cited the poor state of health facilities as reason for the audit.

Roy called for a high-level inquiry into the matter.

He emphasized the need for transparency in health budget spending.

The criticism comes amid growing concerns about healthcare infrastructure in the region.

Roy’s statement has sparked a debate on the effectiveness of recent health initiatives.

A local health activist commented, "We need real improvements, not just ribbon-cutting ceremonies."
