Corona causes 2 more deaths in Jharkhand, total lives lost 1,045

Ranchi: Coronavirus continues to impose a heavy cost on Jharkhand as on Saturday 2 more patients succumbed to the virus, taking the total death toll for the state to 1,045.

According to official data, 236 new cases have been detected in the state on Saturday itself. With this, the total number of infections has reached 1,16,672. On the other hand, 205 patients were also cured and discharged. The total number of recoveries in the state has now reached 1,14,133.

Dhanbad and Ranchi both reported 1 death each on Saturday. On the other hand, East Singhbhum district, which is still the worst-affected district in the state death-wise, has remained death-free for 32 consecutive days.

The recovery rate in Jharkhand is 97.82%, while the mortality rate remains stable at 0.89%.
