JAMSHEDPUR – A massive Julus-e-Mohammadi was taken out in the city on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi under the leadership of ulema. Lakhs of people from the Muslim community participated in the event.
The procession began from Gandhi Maidan in Mango. At the front were imams and ulema from different mosques, reciting naats in praise of the Prophet. A long convoy of motorcycles and trucks followed them.
The first halt of the procession was Sakchi’s Ambagan Maidan, where religious speeches were delivered. Afterwards, it moved towards Dhatkidih Central Maidan, where it concluded.
Meanwhile, several political leaders and Muslim organizations arranged food distribution camps along the route. Fruits and other eatables were served to participants.
Speaking to the media, Minority Commission Chairman Hidayatullah Khan thanked the district and police administration. He said the procession concluded peacefully, sending out a message of peace and love.
