  • Female engineering candidates need 91 percentile for program entry
  • HR Management program requires 95 percentile from male engineers

JAMSHEDPUR – XLRI has announced differentiated XAT 2025 cutoffs to promote gender diversity in its flagship management programs.

The Business Management program maintains high entry standards this year. Male candidates from engineering backgrounds must achieve 96 percentile. However, female engineering candidates need 91 percentile.

For non-engineering applicants, the institute has set similar criteria. Male candidates require 96 percentile. Meanwhile, female candidates need 91 percentile.

Human Resource Management Criteria

The HR program shows more variation in cutoffs. Engineering background male candidates need 95 percentile. However, female candidates from engineering require 90 percentile.

Non-engineering male candidates must score 93 percentile. Meanwhile, female candidates from non-engineering backgrounds need 87 percentile.

Interview Process

The institute plans to interview 4,000-4,500 candidates. This covers both XLRI Jamshedpur and Delhi campuses.

“We reduce cutoffs for non-engineering and female candidates to increase diversity,” says Professor Rahul Shukla, XAT 2025 Coordinator. Moreover, the institute maintains lower thresholds for disadvantaged communities.

The PGDM program interviews are nearly complete. Furthermore, cutoffs for specialized programs like IEV will be decided later.
