XLRI Announces Lower XAT 2025 Cutoffs for Female Candidates

Gender-Specific Thresholds Set for Business Management and HR Programs

Premier B-school introduces differential cutoffs to promote diversity in management education.

Key Points:

  • Female candidates get 5% lower cutoff in Business Management program
  • Engineering stream requires 96 percentile for males, 91 for females
  • HR program sets 95 percentile for male engineers, 90 for females

JAMSHEDPUR – XLRI has announced revised XAT 2025 cutoffs, introducing lower thresholds for female candidates across programs.

The Business Management program maintains high standards for male candidates. However, female applicants receive a significant reduction.

“This initiative promotes gender diversity in management education,” noted an education expert. Additionally, non-engineering candidates have modified criteria.

HR Program Criteria

The Human Resource Management program shows similar gender considerations. Meanwhile, sectional cutoffs vary across categories.

The institute expects to interview around 4,500 candidates. Furthermore, GMAT-based admissions continue separately.

Diversity Focus

XLRI has maintained consistent standards for academic excellence. However, the new policy emphasizes inclusive education.

The institute plans more diversity initiatives next year. Meanwhile, special provisions exist for underprivileged communities.

“Such measures will transform management education,” remarked an industry observer. Moreover, other B-schools may follow suit.
