MEDININAGAR – A minor in Palamu’s Lesliganj area was assaulted while searching for a missing goat, prompting swift action by authorities. The incident unfolded when the victim was lured to a secluded spot, assaulted, and later found unconscious.
The victim’s search for her goat led her into a nearby forest, where she was misled by one of the suspects, Nazir Ansari. His accomplices, Razzak Ansari and Mannawar Ansari, allegedly attempted further harm. Mannawwar eventually committed the act, while Razzak fled the scene. Villagers later discovered the unconscious minor and rushed her to Medinirai Medical College and Hospital.
Police Investigation and Actions
Lesliganj Police, led by Officer-in-Charge Raju Kumar Gupta, swiftly apprehended Mannawar Ansari. Authorities have registered the case under the POCSO Act, with active searches ongoing for the absconding Razzak Ansari. Gupta stated, “Our team is dedicated to ensuring justice in this case.”
