JAMSHEDPUR – The 74th birth anniversary of Shaheed Nirmal Mahto was marked near Chamaria Guest House, Bistupur, with a solemn tribute ceremony. Leaders from various political parties, including Minister Ramdas Soren, MP Vidyut Varan Mahto, and MLA Savita Mahto, honored the visionary leader who fought for a separate Jharkhand state.
Tribute Ceremony Highlights
Organized by the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) district committee, the ceremony commenced with floral tributes by MP Vidyut Varan Mahto, Minister Ramdas Soren, and MLAs Savita Mahto and Mangal Kalindi. Speaking to the media, Vidyut Mahto acknowledged that while Jharkhand achieved statehood, the aspirations of Nirmal Mahto for a developed and equitable Jharkhand remain unfulfilled. He urged collective efforts to realize Mahto’s dream for the state.
Government Initiatives and Vision
Minister Ramdas Soren highlighted ongoing initiatives by the Hemant Soren government, aimed at uplifting the people of Jharkhand. “Through programs like the Marang Gomke Scholarship and 200-unit free electricity, we are striving to fulfill Nirmal Mahto’s vision,” he said. The event saw participation from numerous JMM leaders and hundreds of party workers.
