SERAIKELA – Eight residents suffered injuries as a stray dog went on an attacking spree across Seraikela town, prompting urgent medical treatment at Sadar Hospital.
The dog targeted random pedestrians throughout Saturday. Victims included both young adults and elderly citizens.
Meanwhile, hospital manager Sanjeet Kumar Rai assured proper treatment. The facility maintains sufficient anti-rabies vaccine stocks.
Rising Incidents
The hospital has documented 610 dog bite cases since January. December alone witnessed 61 such incidents.
Moreover, the latest attacks have sparked panic. Many residents fear venturing outdoors.
Victim Details
The injured included Ravish Kumar Singh and Sanjeet Sardar. Pooja Singh Modak also suffered injuries.
Furthermore, similar incidents occurred previously. The town has witnessed multiple dog attacks this year.
“We need immediate action to capture this dog,” stated a concerned resident. Local authorities plan to address the stray dog menace.
