JAMSHEDPUR – Elaborate medical and security arrangements are underway in Jamshedpur ahead of President Droupadi Murmu’s proposed visit on February 26.

Authorities have intensified preparations for the high-profile tour. The visit is scheduled for February 26 in Jamshedpur.

Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College Hospital has formed a dedicated team. The panel comprises eight specialist doctors.

The doctors have been drawn from four key departments. Meanwhile, they will remain on duty from February 24 to 26.

The team will coordinate with the principal medical unit. However, it will maintain independent preparedness during the stay.

Hospital authorities said the specialists were selected carefully. Moreover, they represent critical medical disciplines.

Advanced emergency equipment will remain on standby. Necessary life-saving infrastructure has also been arranged.

Officials said the team will ensure round-the-clock readiness. In contrast, no lapse in emergency response will be tolerated.

The deployment is part of layered security planning. Senior district officials are monitoring arrangements closely.
