Jamshedpur SSP Suspends Police Officials over Illegal Recovery Allegations

Immediate suspension imposed by SSP Prabhat Kumar on Birsanagar police station in-charge, Munshi, and an SI following allegations of illegal recovery.

JAMSHEDPUR – SSP Prabhat Kumar has promptly suspended Prabhat Kumar, station in-charge of Birsanagar police station, along with Munshi and an SI of the police station.

The action follows allegations that these police officials made an unlawful recovery of approximately two lakh rupees in the name of a senior officer of Jamshedpur.

It’s reported that a young man was detained in relation to a case.

The implicated officers demanded about 2 lakh rupees from the young man, claiming it was for a senior officer.

This grievance was directed to SSP Prabhat Kumar of Jamshedpur.

Following this, SSP Prabhat Kumar orchestrated a comprehensive investigation of the matter through a senior officer.

After the investigation, the report against the Birsanagar police station in-charge was submitted to the SSP.

Consequently, Prabhat Kumar, the station in-charge of Birsanagar police station, the police station’s Munshi, and SI Deepak Kumar Das were suspended immediately.

Departmental action is also being recommended against these three.
