6 Chaibasa Sonua girls rescued from Tamil Nadu

Government pays remuneration, Brought back safely to Jharkhand

Ranchi: Six girls from Sonua area of Chaibasa stranded in Tamil Nadu were rescued and brought back to Jharkhand safely. All the rescued girls belong to Sonua block located in Chaibasa and all have been safely brought back from Tamil Nadu by the state government.

All these girls had gone to Bannari Spinning Mills Limited, Tamil Nadu to do thread work.

A total of Rs 36,000 has also been paid as remuneration to these girls.

In this rescue work, the Safe and Responsible Migration Center, Chaibasa and the State Migrant Control Room started by the State Government contributed significantly.

The contractor who had got these girls employed had tried to stop them from returning to their home state and was allegedly demanding money.

The girls sought help from their home state.

The rescued girls were given employment by a contractor at the Bannari Amman Spinning Mill in Tripura, Tamil Nadu.

When the girls started returning home after three or four months, the contractor stopped them by demanding money.

After this the girls sought help from the state government. On the instructions of the government, all the girls were brought back safely.
