XLRI Triumphs in Inaugural EMCS & TLC@MDI Case Competition

XLRI’s Case Study Secures Top Honors at National Case Writing Competition

XLRI, Xavier School of Management in Jamshedpur, clinched first place in the first edition of the EMCS & TLC@MDI India Compact Case Competition 2023.

JAMSHEDPUR – A case study developed by the XLRI Case Research and Simulation Development Center (XL-CRSDC), titled “Should Agastya Inventions Accept the Joint Venture Offer from SergeFerrari?” was awarded the highest recognition by the competition’s judging panel.

The competition was a collaborative effort between the Emerald Emerging Markets Case Studies (EMCS) and the Teaching and Learning Centre at Management Development Institute (TLC@MDI), Gurgaon, India. The winning case has been selected for publication in the Scopus-indexed EMCS collection.

Prof. Trilochan Tripathy, Associate Dean of XL-CRSDC, expressed pride in XLRI’s achievement, highlighting the opportunity to publish in the prestigious EMCS collection.

Benudhar Sahu, Manager of XL-CRSDC, and Neeti Madhok, Case Writer at XL-CRSDC, both praised the victory as a significant motivator for the XLRI case community to further enrich the Centre’s case repository.

The XL-CRSDC was established to position XLRI as a major business case repository in India and to promote excellence in business pedagogy and research through case studies. This centre has engaged in strategic collaborations with various corporates and institutions to develop impactful field-based cases.

XLRI is renowned as one of the oldest and most prestigious business schools in South Asia, dedicated to nurturing responsible global leaders for a sustainable future. The institution boasts accreditations from the AACSB, AMBA, and the National Board of Accreditation (NBA).
