In a significant breakthrough against a motorcycle theft gang, Jamshedpur police arrested five individuals, including two minors, recovering three stolen bikes.
JAMSHEDPUR – Jamshedpur police achieved a major success in cracking down on a motorcycle theft ring, arresting five youths, including two minors, and recovering three stolen motorcycles.
The arrests were made following a secret tip-off received by the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), leading to a raid conducted by a team formed under the leadership of City DSP.
Among those arrested were Aftab Ali, Ayan Ali, and Imtiaz Ul Haq, also known as Raju.
According to City SP Rishabh Garg, the police set up a checkpoint near Prakash School Turning Point Forest in the Mango police station area, based on the secret information provided by the SSP.
During the operation, four youths on two motorcycles were spotted approaching the checkpoint.
Upon seeing the police, they attempted to flee but were chased down and apprehended.
During interrogation, the suspects confessed to their crimes, revealing that the motorcycles they were riding were stolen.
They also admitted to stealing motorcycles from various areas, including Mango and Sakchi, and selling them.
Based on their information, another stolen motorcycle was recovered from Raju’s house in Golmuri.
The arrests of these individuals have helped solve multiple cases of motorcycle thefts in the region.
