JAMSHEDPUR – During an anti-crime checking operation, the police in Sonari arrested two minors near Dobo Bridge for possession of 22 grams of cannabis. The police also seized the scooter they were riding.

The operation was conducted under the supervision of Sonari police station in-charge Sarayu Anand. According to reports, the minors were stopped during routine vehicle checks. Upon investigation, cannabis was found in their possession.

Following their arrest, a case was filed under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act based on a complaint by Sonari police officer Hariodh Karmali. Both minors were sent to judicial custody on Monday after preliminary medical examinations.

The Sonari police have intensified anti-crime checking drives across the area to curb illegal activities. Authorities urge residents to remain vigilant and cooperate with law enforcement during ongoing operations.
