MLA Saryu Roy Inspects Water Issues Across Jamshedpur
Launches Rs 3.16 Crore Infrastructure Projects, Promises Solutions for Water Crisis
Key Points:
- Residents complain about high water connection fees and drainage problems
- Mango drinking water project faces issues despite Rs 100 crore investment
- New paver block projects launched in Sakchi, Sonari, and Bistupur areas
JAMSHEDPUR – Jamshedpur West MLA Saryu Roy conducted extensive inspections addressing water supply issues and launched infrastructure projects across multiple areas.
Roy visited several localities in Sonari to address residents’ concerns. Local women highlighted problems with water connections and drainage systems.
Meanwhile, residents expressed frustration over high connection charges. “Tata Steel UISL’s fees are beyond our means,” stated a concerned resident.
Water Project Issues
The Rs 100-crore Mango drinking water project faces significant challenges. Intake well problems have disrupted water supply to many areas.
Moreover, frequent pump failures have affected the project’s effectiveness. Roy plans detailed inspections on Monday and Tuesday.
On the other hand, residents of Kumarum Basti await proper water supply. The project’s completion hasn’t resolved their water scarcity.
Infrastructure Development
Roy inaugurated three major infrastructure projects. These focus on paver block installation across key city areas.
Furthermore, the projects cover crucial stretches in Sakchi. These include routes from Sana Complex to Dhalbhum Club.
Additionally, the development extends to Sonari Airport road. The Bistupur section will enhance connectivity to Shastrinagar.
