Bicyclist dies in Dimna Road Ulidih after being hit by truck

Jamshedpur: In a tragic accident on Saturday, a bicyclist was killed after being hit by an out-of-control truck in Dimna Road area under the jurisdiction of Ulidih police station in Jamshedpur. The body of the bicyclist got trapped in the wheel and was dragged to some distance by the truck. The driver was seriously injured and died as a result.

The driver of the truck involved in the accident managed to flee from the site of occurrence.

Angry at the accident, the locals created a ruckus at the site of occurrence. On receiving information, the Ulidih police reached the place and rushed the injured bicyclist to MGMCH. However, the injured bicyclist succumbed to his injuries.

The deceased has been identified as Moni Chakraborty of Dimna Bustee. He used to work as a mason. He used to support his son and daughter by working as a mason. He was going to Hill View Colony in search of work.

The accident and the death of the bicyclist caused anger among the locals. However, the police managed to assuage the feelings of the locals and is now working hard to find out the absconding driver. The truck has been seized, while the dead body of the deceased has been sent for post mortem.
