JAMSHEDPUR – Three youths from Baridih, Jamshedpur, died in a road accident early Sunday at Lakrakocha turn under Rajnagar police station in Seraikela-Kharsawan district.
The victims were identified as Lakhan Kumar, Sanjay Lohar and Raju SandiI. According to relatives, they were friends and had left the previous night saying they were going to a sister’s house in Chaibasa.
In the morning, families were informed about the fatal accident. The youths were riding a single motorcycle towards Chaibasa when they crashed into a stationary Hyva truck near Lakrakocha turn. The impact was so severe that the motorcycle was completely wrecked, and all three died on the spot.
Following the incident, the Hyva driver fled the scene. Angry family members blamed traffic negligence and demanded compensation from the administration.
They blocked the road, insisting that the truck owner be called to the spot. Police were engaged in persuading the protesters to clear the blockade.
