JAMSHEDPUR – The National Lok Adalat was inaugurated online on Saturday, December 14, by Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad, Executive Chairman of JHALSA and Judge of Jharkhand High Court. Justice Prasad emphasized that the event was organized nationwide and in Jharkhand under the aegis of the Jharkhand State Legal Services Authority (JHALSA), Ranchi.
Launch of Legal Service Centers and Awareness Drive
During the event, Justice Prasad also launched 1,030 new Legal Service Centers and a 90-day awareness and outreach campaign aimed at promoting legal awareness and justice accessibility across the state.
Major Success in Jamshedpur Civil Court
In Jamshedpur Civil Court alone, a total of 2,16,118 cases were resolved, generating ₹14.36 crore in revenue. To facilitate the proceedings, 13 benches were set up at Jamshedpur Civil Court and 2 additional benches at Ghatshila Sub-Divisional Court.
Compensation in Vehicle Accident Cases
Significant progress was made in resolving vehicle accident and insurance claims. In three such cases, insurance companies provided compensation of approximately ₹15 lakh to the victims. The cheques were handed over by Principal District Judge, Justice Anil Kumar Mishra, and State Bar Council Vice-President Rajesh Kumar Shukla.

Principal District and Sessions Judge, Justice Anil Kumar Mishra, highlighted the importance of Lok Adalats as an effective platform for delivering quick and accessible justice. He encouraged people to take advantage of such opportunities for resolving disputes amicably.
