JAMSHEDPUR – The city of Jamshedpur erupted in festive colour on Wednesday as residents of all ages took to the streets to celebrate Holi with music, gulal and community cheer.

From early morning, groups of children, young people and elderly residents gathered in lanes and residential colonies. They played with colours and gulal across neighbourhoods.

In several areas, groups of youth danced to DJ music. Meanwhile, in other localities, residents exchanged abir and gulal while singing traditional Holi songs.

Children wielded pichkaris to drench each other in coloured water. On the other hand, women organised Holi Milan gatherings in groups across the city.

Security arrangements were put in place at major intersections and residential areas. This allowed residents to celebrate without concern for safety.
