Waterlogging Woes in Parsudih, Jamshedpur: District Administration Pledges Action
The district administration intervenes as incessant monsoon rains lead to a dire situation in Parsudih due to a failed drainage system.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Parsudih area in Jamshedpur is battling severe waterlogging due to incessant monsoon rains and an ineffective drainage system, disrupting the lives of its residents.
The District Administration has vowed prompt action after an on-site review of the situation by the Deputy Commissioner.
Over the past ten days, drain water has inundated about 150 local residences, turning the area into a veritable dump filled with waste materials.

The situation has become so alarming that many residents are forced to vacate their homes and take shelter elsewhere.
In addition to the damage to personal belongings, there’s an imminent threat of severe illness and disease.
Ironically, despite ongoing efforts by the Railways and public representatives, the district administration did not preemptively make any arrangements for sanitation, which could have potentially averted the current situation.
However, following constant coverage of the crisis, the district administration finally took note, leading to the Deputy Commissioner’s visit to the waterlogged area.

The Deputy Commissioner took stock of the entire situation and assured immediate action. He promised to collaborate with the Railways and TISCO to streamline the drainage system and normalize the situation at the earliest.
During the Deputy Commissioner’s visit, distressed locals voiced their grievances and outlined their problems.
Dhalbhum Sub-Divisional Officer Piyush Sinha, who accompanied the Deputy Commissioner, asserted that they are striving to address the issues promptly.
He also appealed to the public to refrain from dumping waste in the drains to prevent further complications.
