SERAIKELA – A Tata Steel Foundation employee died in a road accident near Sahoo Colony in Rajnagar late Saturday night.

Hansda was returning home on his Honda Shine SP motorcycle. The vehicle bore registration number JH 05 CC 0964. He had visited a friend in Jamshedpur earlier.

The victim was traveling via Hata-Chaibasa NH 220 route. He reached Rajnagar market around midnight. Moreover, he turned towards his home at Sido Kanhu Chowk.

The accident occurred near Heera Tent House. The spot was approximately 500 meters from Sido Kanhu Chowk. He needed to cover just 100 more meters. Then he would have reached Tilka Majhi Chowk.

From there, he had to take Seraikela road. However, tragedy struck 1.5 kilometers before reaching home. The accident proved fatal despite safety precautions.

Hansda was wearing a helmet during the journey. Nevertheless, he suffered severe head injuries. He died on the spot. The helmet remained hanging on his head.

His house was located on Rajnagar-Seraikela road. The residence stood roadside in Dipasai Tola of Magarkela. Hansda was the younger of two brothers. He was unmarried.

The deceased worked for Tata Steel Foundation. He held the position of Circle Resource Person (CRP). His colleagues expressed grief over his untimely death.
