Blood Donation Drive at Srinath College Collects 62 Units

Srinath University & Srinath College Partner With Local Organizations to Boost Blood Supply in Seraikela Kharsawan

Srinath College of Education in Adityapur holds successful blood donation camp with NSS and local organizations, collecting 62 units for community welfare.

JAMSHEDPUR – A substantial 62 units of blood were gathered at the recently concluded blood donation camp in Srinath College of Education and Srinath University.

During the camp, the initiative also saw participation from women, amplifying the message of inclusivity in societal contributions.

Tapas Kundu, Salim Khan, Vishal Mandal, Trilochan Bagh, Mrinal Rakshit, and Subrata Bose were among the dignitaries present, providing their unequivocal support to the cause.

The event was not limited to the collection of blood but was a larger initiative to promote the welfare of society.

The teaching staff, including assistant professors from various universities and colleges, did not hold back and stepped up to donate.

Dr. Balbhadra Jena, Principal of Srinath College of Education, noted that the act of donating blood is a crucial necessity, especially in trying times.

An awareness session was orchestrated a day prior to the camp by the ‘Voluntary Blood Donors Association,’ focusing on mitigating any fears or misconceptions.

The backbone of the blood donation camp was formed by the collaboration of National Service Scheme (NSS) of Srinath University and Srinath College of Education with ‘Volunteer Blood Donors Association,’ Jharkhand and ‘Jamshedpur Blood Bank.

Shri SK Mukherjee spoke passionately, emphasizing the pivotal role of blood donation for the betterment of the community.
