JAMSHEDPUR – Congress leaders inspected Chhath ghat preparations in Jamshedpur East assembly constituency on Thursday.
Senior Congress leader Anand Bihari Dubey led the inspection team. The team visited multiple ghats in Baridih and surrounding areas. District Congress in-charge Baljit Singh Bedi accompanied him throughout.
The inspection covered several prominent Chhath ghats across the constituency. Bagunahatu Chhath Ghat was thoroughly examined by the team. Moreover, Babudih Ghat received detailed attention from the leaders. Pandey Ghat and Gandhi Ghat were also inspected carefully.
The team assessed cleanliness arrangements at all locations. They examined the availability of essential facilities for devotees. However, several deficiencies were identified during the inspection process.
Congress OBC cell district president Devesh Raj joined the team. NSUI district president Sachin Kumar was also present. Additionally, Rajkishor Yadav participated in the inspection drive.
Shashi Kumar Sinha attended the event with other leaders. Dhiraj Kumar, Trinath Kumar, and Pankaj Kumar Yadav were present. Furthermore, Sushil Ghosh and Bunty Singh Rajput accompanied the team.
A large number of party officials participated actively. Local Baridih residents also joined the inspection process. They highlighted specific issues affecting their respective ghats.
The team immediately communicated the identified shortcomings to authorities. JNAC representatives received detailed information about the deficiencies. Officials were instructed to begin rectification work promptly.
The leaders emphasized the religious significance of Chhath festival. They stated that it symbolizes people’s faith and devotion. On the other hand, administrative bodies must ensure devotee comfort.
All civic institutions should work coordinately for the festival. They must guarantee that no inconvenience troubles the devotees. In addition, necessary facilities should be restored well in time.
