MEDININAGAR – A Christmas gathering was organized on Thursday at Sadhana Sadan, Chianki, with Bishop Theodore Mascarenhas as the chief guest.
The event saw a large participation of priests and religious brothers and sisters of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Daltonganj. The priests delivered insightful messages on the teachings and life of Jesus Christ.
Father George Kindo elaborated on the significance of Christ’s arrival and his sacred teachings. He emphasized the need for deep contemplation on these values in daily life. He also provided details about the upcoming Jubilee celebrations scheduled for 2025.
Meanwhile, Bishop Theodore offered the Holy Mass and underscored the importance of being “pilgrims of hope and faith.” Addressing the Christian congregation, he urged them to spread love, peace, and joy to those around them while carrying forward the mission of Christ.
The Bishop reminded attendees of the importance of spiritual preparation for the birth of Jesus Christ. He encouraged everyone to focus on their faith journey, despite the challenges and hardships they may face. He added that Christians are called to become beacons of hope and light in a world often filled with uncertainty and darkness.
Highlighting the need for positive action, the Bishop encouraged the community to serve others, share the gospel, and embody God’s love and mercy. “To follow Christ means to live by faith and serve humanity,” he said.
