Hemant Soren Govt to Transfer ₹2,500 to Women Under Manyiya Scheme

Fifth installment of the scheme to benefit 57 lakh women in Jharkhand.

Key Points:

  • ₹2,500 to be transferred to women’s accounts under Manyiya Scheme.

  • Fifth installment expected to reach beneficiaries by December 11.

  • Scheme benefits 57 lakh women, enhancing financial independence.

RANCHI – Women in Jharkhand have a reason to celebrate as the Hemant Soren government prepares to transfer ₹2,500 to beneficiaries under the Manyiya Samman Yojana. This initiative follows the Chief Minister’s earlier promise to increase the financial aid provided under the scheme.

Fifth Installment in Progress

The Welfare Department has initiated preparations to release the fifth installment, which is expected to reach women’s accounts by December 11. Approximately 57 lakh women, aged between 18 and 50, are benefiting from the scheme, which aims to provide economic support.

Previously, the scheme offered ₹1,000 per installment, but the amount was increased to ₹2,500 after a pre-election promise by Hemant Soren. Four installments have already been successfully transferred under this scheme.

Positive Impact on Women and Elections

The Manyiya Samman Yojana significantly influenced the recent state assembly elections, benefiting the ruling India alliance. The fourth installment, transferred in November, played a crucial role in garnering support.

The scheme has not only strengthened women financially but also created a positive perception of the government among the beneficiaries. Welfare officials stated that registrations under the scheme remain open, and its implementation has accelerated since the new government’s formation.

This initiative reflects the government’s commitment to empowering women and addressing their economic needs.
